Eugene D @Yevgenii 3h Like most Canadian movies, Skeet got little publicity. I hadn’t even heard of it until a friend from Newfoundland recommended it. I’m grateful he did. It’s a very Canadian story but it’s also a universal story. Everyone can relate, everyone can see themselves and their, family, their community in Skeet’s world. It’s about making a life, making friends, mistakes made. It’s about being a friend, a father, a partner… and it’s about human strength and fragility, our virtues and our flaws. It’s about success, failure, forgiveness and destiny. It’s uplifting but it’s also frustrating and heartbreaking. I’m glad I watched it. I think of it often, of the characters and their stories and how they resemble the people in our world. It reminded me of what’s important and what I need to do.
