Nicolay P @RT57148656 Sep 14, 2026 What interested me most about this movie is that hardly anyone seems to behave as though they’re ever truly alone. Even in intimate moments, there’s a strange sense that the characters are still performing for someone, even when nobody is watching. Cande takes that to the extreme, but gradually you realise the others aren’t entirely outside that game either. That feeling grows as their relationships become infected by this constant need to present some version of themselves. Often I found myself laughing at situations which, a few seconds later, seemed rather cruel. Cande can be exhausting, selfish and ridiculous, but she’s also far too recognisable to simply dismiss. I liked that the characters could be unlikeable without it working against the film. Their worst moments often define them best. When it ended, I was thinking more about the way they looked at each other than about what ultimately happened to them. I did get what he meant though, because some things are so exaggerated that if you don't get what it's doing, they can seem a bit silly. But once we realised it was taking the piss out of that whole world, we were both into it. Cande treats literally everything like it's the biggest event of her life and everyone around her is just as unhinged. We ended up laughing quite a lot and afterwards we were still chatting about some of the stuff it says about social media. It doesn't try to lecture you about any of it, which I think is why it works. It's entertaining, properly bonkers at times, and gives you a bit more to think about than you'd expect at first. En cuanto al formato Vertical, fue muy ingenioso lo que logró el director, la podes ver sin problema alguno, te lográs adaptar enseguida!!! Dicho film (para mí) no tiene baches, no me aburrí en ningún momento, con un final buenisimo!!! Para lo que no la vieron, se las recomiendo, les va a encantar!!! La película se burla muchísimo de esa necesidad de mostrar todo, de convertir hasta las relaciones en contenido y de vivir pendiente de cómo te están viendo los demás. Cande lleva todo al extremo, obviamente, pero justamente por eso funciona: es un desastre y aun así entendés perfectamente de dónde sale todo lo que hace. También me gustó muchísimo cómo está filmada. Tiene imágenes que parecen hechas para una pantalla de celular, pero se ven como el cine. La disfruté muchísimo. Y después de verla me dieron todavía menos ganas de subir mi vida entera a Instagram 😂. See more Guillermo M @RT85596057 Sep 11, 2026 Como profesor de Montaje, terminé prestándole especial atención a cómo está cortada *Sombras Chinas*. Me interesó que la película no mantenga una cadencia estable: hay secuencias donde el corte se anticipa al cierre natural de la acción y otras donde el plano permanece deliberadamente más de lo esperado. Esa variación construye una sensación de inestabilidad muy efectiva. También hay un buen uso de la elipsis y del fuera de campo. El 9:16 restringe la información simultánea y obliga al montaje a decidir cuándo revelar aquello que el encuadre oculta. En varios pasajes, cambiar de plano equivale a descubrir información. Hay momentos que personalmente habría dejado respirar un poco más, pero es una diferencia de criterio. Lo interesante es que el montaje no se limita a ordenar y dar ritmo: participa de la narración. El corte no conecta solamente dos planos: muchas veces produce el sentido entre ellos. Una película que invita a pensar el montaje. See more Cinematic D @CinematicDragon Sep 11, 2026 Unsettling and unpredictable. A movie that starts out strange and only gets stranger as it goes. What I liked most was exactly that weirdness—it’s what makes the movie feel unique. The ridiculous, over-the-top characters were probably my favorite part, with Cande brilliantly satirizing influencers and that fat guy, El Polaco, pretending to be someone he’s not before finally showing his claws. Sometimes it’s funny, sometimes it’s uncomfortable. The format, the bizarre moments, and the darkness all make you feel a little weird, and that’s the good thing about it: it actually makes you feel something. Definitely something different to watch!
