Wayne K @RT30594915 3d Good Lord, if this shows what Kurtzman thinks "Star Trek" is all about, then they have a complete misconception about the series. A very bad movie with actors that deserve better, "Section 31" completely wastes everything that is handed to it on a silver platter from the original concept of it from "Deep Space Nine" to the revival of it in "Discovery" (from a pretty good season of that series). A horrible blight on the "Trek" name and the worst movie EVER produced; the money was wasted in a good looking but poorly written and directed mishmash of tropes from other shows and movies. I never got past the 25 minute mark and switched off! Half a star is giving them away too much credit. A can't imagine even trying to get back into either this or Star Wars ever again based on the slop they've been dishing up for so many years now. That’s just fact at this point. Whether you love or hate Emperor Georgiou, you can’t deny Yeoh absolutely owns the screen every time she steps into that role. And that’s really the thing — Georgiou has always been a divisive character. You either lean into the chaos and moral ambiguity, or you reject it outright. There’s rarely a middle ground. Section 31 has always been about colouring outside the lines. That’s the whole reason it exists. It operates in the grey, in the morally uncomfortable spaces Starfleet pretends it doesn’t need.
