Taffin... goes down so smoothly and satisfyingly. It feels exactly like reading a Jack Reacher novel, where you know the hero is going to come out on top, and you know the villains are underestimating our hero, and that's all part of the fun. Sans S @RT47201586 Sep 29 Not extraordinary nor a masterpiece just a straight good old fashioned entertaining movie See more Cork B @RT87142816 03/16/2025 feels like they tried to stretch a Hollywood 80s action flick over top of a 70s Irish thug movie - add to that the janky scene editing, and the unnecessary 'love' story - this just feels clunky. Also, most everyone in this movie is morally sketchy, so you are left feeling like 'who am I rooting for here?' That said, Brosnan and his giant hair make this thing serviceable. I liked Brosnan's character's understated toughness in this one and never strays too over the top. If you have problems with debt collection, call Taffin. Taffin seems pretty hard for someone who does business in office with no doors or windows, drives an open top American car in rainy Ireland (that magically fixes itself by the next scene) and yeah, he's pretty slim for a guy that drinks so much stout and drives home afterwards.
