Noah H @Noah85 Feb 27 I really liked it. I don't think it's nearly as good as Terminator 2 but still worth a watch. The action is fun, Emilia Clark and Jai Courtney both did a good job as Young Sarah Conner and Kyle Reese in my opinion. And, Arnold Schwarzenegger is an absolute scene-stealer as the T-800. He never misses. I would also say that Lorne Balfe delivers a good score. Sure, he's no Brad Fiedel (The Terminator theme is always iconic) but you can tell he did his best to build off of what Brad did. So, yeah. Overall, I would say go watch it! If you really love the original actors, then sure, maybe you might be disappointed. We've learned to love these original actor portrayals. It's kind of like hearing your favorite song sung by another singer. It's hard to accept new actors replacing the original characters such as Sarah and Reese, but it still works. The glue, however, that keeps this film together is Schwarzenegger. Without him, I probably would not have watched this film. Not the best Terminator film in the series, but still worth watching. I feel like people jump on the hate train for things to easily. Its not the best terminator movie buy any stretch of the imagination but certainly not the worst...i think this movie is better than terminator 3 and dark fate. I havent seen salvation yet so cant say on that movie. If you enjoy the terminator franchise I say this movie is a fun time. It did something new and slightly different and I cant take away from that. I liked the woman playing a young Sarah Conner, Arnold was good and doing his thing as usual. I feel there were some miscasting of Kyle Reese but his version has grown on me. Ive watched this movie multiple times and havent grown tired of it yet 😅. I wish we could have gotten another movie to this AU of terminator 😞 or at least a spin of series. I think it eould have been nice to see. See more Read all reviews
