With a ponytail and dodgy accent, Damon fits awkwardly into the mix, putting in one of the most uneven performances of his career. The fact a Western actor is leading an Asian film should be uncomfortable, but in a film this bad, its hard to care.

I was very young when I watched this movie and thought the movie was fine, cool even. It had Matt Damon in it and scary CGI monsters that looked very much real, and honestly, I couldn't find anything wrong about the movie except for the plot's and characters' lack of depth.

I honestly can’t believe this is rated so low. I thought this was a crazy awesome fantasy action flick. So awesome in fact I’ve rewatched it a few times. Give it a shot. I was deliciously impressed with it (REMEMBER ITS FANTASY)

Ok so I am a little biased, but this movie came out when I was like 8 or something and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. After rewatching it, I can confirm it’s not the best piece of cinema ever but the visuals are undeniably dope. And it’s really well choreographed. Watch if you want cool visuals with epic large scale fights with even larger budgets

This movie had an amazing story. I love anything supernatural so big production value for a supernatural movie impresses me so much. But the most striking thing about the movie is the color! The colors are mesmerizing!!!

I'm not sure why this movie has been getting so much hate. Very enjoyable film with great visuals and action from start to finish. Didn't need "romance" to work. There is something special about Chinese filmmaking and I've grown to like their films. Currently available free on Amazon prime as well. Give this a shot you won't regret it.
