Watched this three times now. I keep finding/noticing new funny parts. Just a straight forward simple slightly dorky comedy. Love the relationship between the mom & dad (Will & Amy) with their daughter. As a married couple they are believable as well as adorable. Frank Mantzoukas is great as their friend/neighbor. The rest of their neighbors are written bull's-eye perfect with hilarious dialogue and perfectly cast. I liked this movie. A good original story. Poehler and Ferrell worked well together. Their best friend Mantzoukas and the women in the movie: Savage, Tolman, Watkins and Parham were great additions to the story as all were VERY funny and held their own. There were a few holes in the story that I believe were an edit problem. I think they ended up on the cutting room floor and the director of the movie thought the audience wouldn't be wise to notice. A shame as I really think this film deserved better. An original story with great comedic leads plus a good team of support act

I had never heard of this movie, but saw it on a streaming service as Leaving Soon, so I checked it out. I laughed out loud multiple times and thoroughly enjoyed it. Lots of absurdist humor, and the combo of Ferrell and Poehler is a winning one here. Sad to see this has such widespread negative reviews, but it's a sentiment I definitely do not share. I'll stack this right up there with Tropic Thunder and The Other Guys. If you like either of those, I think you'll enjoy this one as well.
