Elaine (Samantha Robinson), a beautiful young witch, is determined to find a man to love her. In her gothic Victorian apartment she makes spells and potions, then picks up men and seduces them. However, her spells work too well, and she ends up with a string of hapless victims. When she at last meets the man of her dreams, her desperation to be loved drives her to the brink of insanity and murder.

anyone giving this movie a bad review lacks open-mindedness and does not understand femininity. this is one of the best movies ive ever watched and it has really opened my eyes on female sexuality and spirituality. if youre not an ignorant individual i suggest you watch this movie, and enjoy it.

I just don't get all these ridiculously positive reviews. Absolutely wooden acting and delivered in the style of a terrible 60s television series. Perhaps that was the intent. Thankfully, the fast forward button enables me to flick through this excreble mess in less than 10 minutes.

The Love Witch was way better than I thought it would be. It acts as a spiritual sister to American Psycho. The level of effort poured into the 60s aesthetic was so convincing that I kept forgetting I was watching a film from 2016. It’s a fantastic feminist satire and deserves a better audience score.

I thought, with the review percentages so good, I'd check this movie out. I will NEVER understand why anyone (in particular critics) rated this so high. I should know better by now not to trust ratings, especially critics. So, if you like soft porn from the 1970s; then this is your movie. I actually had to go back after watching the first 5 or 10 minutes to check what year this was made. Since I'm not into either soft porn or your run-of-the-mill movies from the 70s, I gave up on it after the first 20 minutes. What a waste of time.
