Critics Consensus

The Other Woman definitely boasts a talented pedigree, but all that skill is never fully brought to bear on a story that settles for cheap laughs instead of reaching its empowering potential.

I don't demand a great deal from a glossy Hollywood comedy, but it would be nice to find a smarter, more original piece of work than this in the year 2014.

What begins as a smoothly oiled romantic comedy quickly morphs into a clattery, grinding screwball contrivance.

Everything in this movie is overcooked and pushed far beyond its power to amuse. In the end, it becomes a screeching bore.

he Other Woman is a solid, entertaining comedy that succeeds because of its cast and commitment to the bit.

It’s done as well as this story can be, and Don Johnson of Miami Vice is perfectly cast as Diaz’s father.

It lacks the comedy edge and emotional depth to be anything other than entertaining as a one-off watch... which is a shame, given how much more fun the director could have had with the premise

This movie has some fun moments, but it gets predictable and sometimes very strange. It has it's ups and downs, but not as spectacular as some people might think it is.
