Sofia works as a location scout for a network TV show shooting in New York City. It's her job to find the homes, businesses, and exteriors where the soon-to-be-shot show will take place. This means a daily journey into the private spaces and lives of numerous city residents, photographing their properties and briefly stepping into the fabric of their lives. Over the course of a day filled with these encounters, Sofia plays witness to moments of curiosity, vulnerability, and quiet tension, until her work takes a sudden, personal turn. THE SCOUT is a contemplative exploration of urban disconnection, following one woman’s quiet journey through other people's worlds as she struggles to find her own.

Watching the movie, I kept thinking about its own location scout, who did a magnificent job finding beautiful houses to use in the production. Then again, when you’re thinking about the location scout, a movie probably isn’t working.

There is no plot, but even worse is they have 15 minutes of material stretched into 90 minutes. Most boring film I have ever watched - no contest. No plot, little dialog , basically scenes of someone doing a boring job. My friend uses a walker, and we just couldn't leave safely in the dark. Her input is that the title should be "Tedium."
