It had a non linear story line. The non significant characters won in the end. And so many pointless plot changes. It felt like a bad AHS episode. Wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. I feel like all this movie is good for is triggering those with SH issues or trauma from SA. The monster also looked dumb. It was only out for about a week, and after finally watching it at home for free, I can honestly say I would have been disappointed spending money to see this in a theater. Watching it at home was draining enough, so I can only imagine sitting through the entire thing in a theater. I didn’t find the movie creative in any meaningful way. The concept had potential, but it was never developed enough to make me care about where the story was going. The screenplay struggled throughout, and every time I tried to become invested, it felt like the movie was attempting to connect the pieces without really knowing how to put them together. Ultimately, Traumatika was a missed opportunity. I’m glad I didn’t waste my time or money seeing it in theaters, and I’m even happier that I waited until I could watch it for free at home. See more JOSHUA K @defmagic Aug 7, 2026 I heard about *Traumatika* from social media and went in with one of two expectations: either it would be surprisingly artsy, clever, and good — or "so bad it’s good" and at least entertaining. Somehow, it was neither. They try way too hard to be serious instead of letting the characters act and speak naturally. The acting isn’t good, and the basic story structure and details often make no sense. It feels like someone wrote down ideas from their favorite horror movies and either used A.I. to build a generic demon story around them or just combined a bunch of bad ideas on no budget. If it had been fun or funny along with the "scary demon" story, it could’ve become a cult classic. Instead, I think it’ll disappear as something not even worth seeing once. I literally apologized to my friends and we stopped it 25 minutes in. Nobody seemed to fact-check the story, characters, or even how normal people interact — and I’m not talking about the supernatural stuff.
