Uthaug is a confident entertainer-craftsman who sells the script’s occasionally groan-worthy clichés with humor and smart pacing. There’s plenty of visual stimulus, both scenic and fantastical. Go to Full Review

The characterisation is token, and the quip embellishment is weak. Norse mythology is an atypical starting point for monster movies, but deploying it as rotely as this, the film has little chance of standing out from the mockbuster wallpaper. Go to Full Review

‘Troll 2,’ a sequel to the crowd-pleasing 2022 Norwegian giant creature feature, doesn’t have nearly enough action, monster-related or otherwise, to justify its existence. Go to Full Review

The special effects again better many a big-budget Hollywood adventure and the damage done by the giant monster is impressive in its scale. Go to Full Review

With emotional and development arcs that are glossed over quickly, to a large lack of adventure, the relational aspects that should hold this story together don’t receive the backing necessary to invest us in the pursuit. Go to Full Review

Paul S @RT91988760 2d ***SPOILERS***. I wouldn't say it's much of an improvement over the first one, but I still really enjoyed watching this movie. The story was compelling, and there were plenty of action-packed scenes to leave you hooked. The addition of a new Troll was amazing, but I wish there were more interactions/fight scenes between the Troll from the first movie and this new 'MegaTroll'. I definitely recommend it for action, fantasy, folklore, and monster movie fans! See more Philip B. @thetachi693 Mar 27 I actually thought the movie was barely different from the first film. The creatures themselves have basic graphics and their movement seems inconsistent throughout the film. Sometimes they move almost in slow motion and then all of a sudden they can move fast. And it’s inconsistent that the sun can kill them sometimes and sometimes not. Overall I watched the film with English dubbing which made the acting seem more cheesy. Not sure watching in the OG sound would have improved it See more John B @RT63267739 Mar 23 Troll 2 script writing felt rushed and predictable, the professor should have sacrificed her life since she started all of this by waking him up. I knew the lights weren’t going to work, I figured dude would sacrifice his life, after the detonator was dropped, just to predictable. Out of nowhere, the professor, now, can speak troll language, and connect with them, come on man, And she’s too bold, and has too much access with the military. I guess in the next movie, Major and the lady will get married and have kids, Beautiful will be the hero and sacrifice his life, the man who sacrifices his life kid will be a major part in killing the next Troll. I wasn’t really connected with the movie, like the first one, definitely needs better script writers, and not everyone needs to be the hero. See more EMANOEL P @RT61781704 Mar 11 Filme mediano o primeiro é muito melhor, cheio de clixes e cenas muito burra vc fica com raiva de ver certas pessoas fazendo coisas burras, história poderia ter Cido muito melhor See more Giles M @Thundernuckle Jan 22 Loved it just as much as the first one. It's a simple movie thats fun to watch. Don't overthink it, just enjoy it. Great fun. See more Mitchell S @Mitchstur Jan 22 It's every bit as good as the first one, doubling down on the mystery and stellar effects. They even took a huge leap that most sequels don't take (although I'm also sad about it). See more Read all reviews
