The Odyssey looks like a couple of guys in modern costumes on an empty beach with an IMAX camera. It doesn't matter that Helen's romance is weak. That is the point. She knows she is doing something wrong and you can see in her expression that a big war is coming. Agamemnon just wanted an excuse to invade Troy. Cheesy dialog, a terrible musical score, self conscious acting and silly accents abound. I’m not even going to mention the inaccuracy of the telling, the deletion of almost every important female character and the compression of ten years of into, at best, a couple of weeks.
