Kirsty C @ArtPuppy 3 days ago If you love action thrillers and spy movies but are tired of the usual romantic roles women play, this is the action film for you. Women's friendships are at their centre; they're filled with humour and deep camaraderie. It's amusing to see female 007-style leads talk about food and have more realistic female conversations during criminal pursuits. Although the action and special effects could have benefited from a bigger budget, it's still a lot of fun. It's just as far-fetched as many male-led action movies, but I reckon male audiences might be bored or confused by the touching scenes. There's still plenty of violence and cool car and bike chases. Although the dynamic between the protagonists is the film's strong point, it suffers from abrupt changes in tone and a weak script that can't decide whether it wants to be a light comedy or an action thriller. I wasn’t sure I was going to like it because Im not a fan of having to rely on subtitles but it was so much better than I could have imagined.
