Matt (Chris O'Donnell) falls for Casey (Drew Barrymore), the new girl in school. She's fun-loving and eccentric, but there's a darkness to her whimsy that Matt can't begin to comprehend. When Casey attempts to commit suicide, her parents (Joan Allen, Jude Ciccolella) place her in a mental institution. Matt springs her out, and together the young lovers head on a road trip. They believe their love can cure Casey's problems. Matt starts to wonder, though, if are they inspired or misguided.

Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom

This is one of my favorite movies from the 90s by far & an awesome soundtrack to boot! I loved it , and some of the situations hit home to me as a teen , I Deff cried at the end . Such a wonderful cast !

Um filme intenso e lindo, necessária arte, numa época que pouco se falava sobre depressão, saúde mental, suicídio, terapias e medicamentos, e afins, uma geração psiquiátrica recém-saída do tratamento de lobotomia e hospícios, por conta do controverso filme anterior de Antonia (O Padre) reduziram a depressão um caso de transtorno bipolar da protagonista... Um romance com um plano de fundo poderoso, atuações impecáveis, emociona, deixa o coração quentinho, choca e faz refletir… Muito bom…
