The part when he plays his instrument with such sorrow as he had the flashback of the death of his family alone makes this movie worth watching. This is a good movie I was surprised at the rating. See more Oppothumbs M @RT18103934 06/04/2024 This has a very hoking screenplay. I don't like Jenny on the Block's music. But her acting is great and more importantly, feels real. I love this, and I don't like schmaltz. It has suspense throughout if you can just suspend yourself from being critical. Go with the goofy and feel the tenderness of Warren Zevon's Tenderness on the Block channeled through Jenny. I might have teared up at times; never though of listening to Lopez's music, though! Movie reminds me of The Impression's "I'm so Proud". Another pretty good movie with her is "Enough". I remember him talking about the incredible performance that Jennifer Lopez put out for it as well. Anyways, on a slow week I watch probably 2 new movies. On a good week probably 5ish and I will never forget Angel Eyes. Of the thousands of movies I've seen in my life. This pile of garbage was probably the stupidest movie I've ever seen. Anyone that was involved should be forced to write apology letters to the audience for all of it. There wasn't a scene. An idea. A performance. Even a thought, that this movie did well. I'm always confused when I see such a poor movie. They went through the entire process of making this and hat to sit down and watch their work. And then sign off on it. Rotten tomatoes really needs to have a zero score option thanks to complete bombs like this. Also, I know he's dead now. But, I'll never forgive Roger Ebert for this. I wouldn't have watched it if he didn't give such an review. He could have just said he had a crush on Jennifer Lopez instead of giving two thumbs up and 5 stars to every piece of garbage she was involved in.
