Although it can be dense or even tiring at times, '53 Sundays' finds its strength in its relatability. It's easy to see our own family dynamics reflected in it, which makes each argument more relatable than we might like to admit. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

In an era where films looking for an international audience are increasingly less nuanced and more heavily action-oriented, Spanish director Cesc Gay moves in a completely different direction. Go to Full Review

Although its theatrical origins condition the cinematic experience and limit visual scope, the film relies on the consistency of its performances and a script that prioritizes verbal exchange as its driving force. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

[53 Sundays] is a feature film of just 78 minutes, with a strong theatrical feel, in which the talent of the actors and Gay's perspicacity and skill lead to a successful conclusion without too many surprises or shocks. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

A sharp, dialogue-driven family dramedy that thrives on discomfort and emotional avoidance. Modest in scope but honest in its portrayal of fractured relationships, elevated by strong performances—especially Javier Cámara. Go to Full Review

sandeep J @RT69633532 1d A flowing movie (spanish) on bickering between 3 siblings, who have different profiles now. While they tend to be polite at times, their feelings are hardly hidden. They hate the ones who are late and the one who is over-punctual. The one who is over-helping and who does nothing. The bickering aren't loud, but you cant miss the bang ! And the ironies are superbly played with 3 meetings for a change of bulb. The performances are strong to support a one-room drama and dialogues are sharp. The trope is a bit old and the ending predictable BUT the acting and the way it was directed/presented was fresh and beautiful. The pacing is quick but hits all the marks.
