It does more than scratch the surface of horror, and some of the lesser-known movies it references will help grow the watchlists of the creepy cognoscenti who are looking for some deeper cuts. Go to Full Review

“1000 Women” is briskly entertaining and wildly informative as a clip show, insightful in its academic analysis, and the structure of the film enables a tidy organization of an often messy bunch of films. Go to Full Review
Stephen Silver The SS Ben Hecht 2d
It’s an expansive history of women in the horror film genre, both in front of and behind the camera, as well as examinations of tropes and tendencies. Go to Full Review

M W @RT47582036 Mar 22 Horrible! Women can do whatever men do. It basically was women saying they can direct /produce like it’s new and never available to them. Some of the movies they showed were horrible. Maybe just show a successful movie. I don’t know…..most of the people giving commentary made horrible movies. If it’s a good movie I don’t care what sex u are. lol. Mostly just a bitchfest. See more B P @Bradster69 Mar 20 Enlightening and Entertaining Doc Will Leave You Wanting More See more Read all reviews
