See more Bret M. @BretM-3 Apr 6 I didn’t really have any expectations going into this one other than its reputation for its transformation scene. But man, I really enjoyed this movie! For starters, the transformation scene is so well known because it really is incredible. It feels painful, visceral even. The prosthetics look great and the VFX as a whole look really good when considering the age of the film. I also loved the tone of this movie. It feels very dark and moody, and I appreciate that a lot with this one. I also enjoyed the ghost/zombie element in here. To me, it just adds a little flavor to this movie that’s different and makes it standout from other Werewolf movies. There’s also another scene that stands out to me: the subway scene. That scene does a great job of building fear and anticipation because you know The Wolf is coming, but you don’t know when. And that’s really all I have to say.
