While recent winners like All Of You have proven there’s still juice in the classic friends-to-lovers template, watching People We Meet On Vacation feels more like ordering a sparkling tropical cocktail and getting served tap water. Go to Full Review

A strong supporting cast — Lukas Gage, Molly Shannon, Sarah Catherine Hook, Jameela Jamil and Lucien Laviscount – ups the entertainment value. Since rom-coms have been a bit blah of late, this one will satisfy that itch even if it’s no gamechanger. Go to Full Review

If you put this on, on a weekend afternoon, you will be fine. It is pleasant to watch. But the things that made the book special, I think, are almost impossible to preserve in a two-hour movie. Go to Full Review

While the film successfully brings Henry’s charming and vibrant world to life, it struggles to make itself memorable beyond its runtime. Go to Full Review

People We Meet on Vacation portrays the feeling of exploring the world with people we love and dealing with the painful part of falling in love. It’s scary, but it’s all worth it in the end. Go to Full Review

See more Tyler M. @TylerJohn 3d It’s exactly what you expect out of a romantic comedy and that’s all that is needed sometimes. See more Charlotte L @CharlotteLong1 3d I loved the book and the movie was enjoyable! Emily and Tom were great, I just wish it stayed a little bit more faithful to the source material. A few key moments were cut. See more D. M @RT48759227 6d After reading the book, i had very high expectations for the movie when i saw Netflix drop the trailer. Poppy and Alex literally fell right through the book into real life and their chemistry was amazing except, my expectations were cut short when i realised how rushed the movie was. There were so many important scenes from the book that wasn't added in and so little screen time for some of the characters, like what Alex experienced behind closed doors with Sarah and Poppy with her boyfriends. Poppy's Boss Swapna fit her role so well and she was sooo beautiful, i wish there was more screen time with her too. I didn't like how the scenes were changed and i hated that Sarah and Alex were highschool sweethearts when in the book, they weren't. The actor & actress playing Poppy & Alex were too good to do this to. See more Read all reviews
