Capt. James Kirk (William Shatner) and the crew of the USS Enterprise are carrying Klingon Chancellor Gorkon (David Warner) to Earth to negotiate a peace treaty with the United Federation of Planets. The ship appears to fire on a Klingon vessel, and Gorkon is killed in the subsequent confusion. Kirk and the ship's doctor, Leonard McCoy (DeForest Kelley), are arrested for murder, leaving Spock (Leonard Nimoy) to figure out who is behind the attack and save the negotiations.

Meyer keeps his camera hopping and the production has a dark, atmospheric sheen that persistently suggest mystery and danger. Not the best of the series, but a suitable farewell.

Ironically, audiences likely be calling for more. With the new movie, subtitled "The Undiscovered Country," Kirk, Spock, and Co. are back in fine form... Star Trek VI has the aura of new beginnings.

This is perhaps the most enjoyable and certainly the most literate of the movie episodes. With allusions to Shakespearean drama and sharp parallels to the brave new world we live in, the film is often as funny and clever as it is engaging.

Star Trek VI was a huge step up from V. It has a great who done it that kept my attention through out the whole film. I can’t believe I am about to type this but all the acting was good from everyone involved. The special effects were great for the time. For me this was my favorite since Star Trek II. I would definitely recommend checking this out if you haven’t seen this yet. It was a great send off for the original cast. An excellent send off to the original cast, the movie’s allegory for the end of the Cold War is interesting and bridges TOS and TNG. While most of the cast are not amazing actors, they convey the tone of how time is running out for this crew effectively.
