This is abysmal. The adaptation fundamentally misunderstands the source material, has terrible FX and an even worse Miles Teller performance. Worst of all, the film doesn't know how or when to use Woodley, who has always been the series' greatest asset

This is the worst film in the series. It started out only ok, amd the second entry was middling, but this third entry was horrible. Especially considering that halfway through, it randomly diverged from the source material... probably because the source material is known for having a poorly done ending. But the alt ending here is worse. Far, far worse.

The big leap from a city in ruins to an advanced civilization in such a short amount of time was a bit off-putting. Not to mention the plot seemed a little cliche and the dialogue had some bad moments
