28 Years Later: The Bone Temple (2026) Cody Leach The Bone Temple manages to build upon ideas from the previous film that I was not sold on and fully get me on board. Nia DaCosta approaches this world with a focus that delivers a standout chapter in the franchise and builds excitement for the future.

Return to Silent Hill (2026) Cody Leach As a movie, it's a generic and poorly paced January horror film. As an adaptation, it's a completely bastardized cliff notes version of arguably the greatest story in a horror video game.

Keeper (2025) Cody Leach Keeper is well shot and acted but was a complete drag to get through. Painfully slow storytelling leading to reveals that are blatantly telegraphed in the opening minutes made for a very frustrating experience.

The Running Man (2025) Cody Leach This version of The Running Man is a very fun and exciting old-school action movie that feels strangely devoid of Edgar Wright's standout style.

4.5/5
Predator: Badlands (2025) Cody Leach Badlands take a swing that could potentially alienate (pun intended) its core audience and somehow they pull it off! The action, spectacle, and classic underdog hero story makes a very entertaining crowd-pleaser that doesn't water down what fans expect.

Obsession (2025) Cody Leach A simple concept that we all can relate to is elevated to horrifying and shocking levels with Curry Barker's feature debut. Inde Navarrette's physical performance alone will be nightmare fuel for men everywhere.

Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die (2025) Cody Leach Gore Verbinski returns with a film that brilliantly holds a spotlight over the absurdity of our modern culture. You'll constantly feel shocked at the subject matter that is evoking guttural laughter. It's as entertaining as it is profound.

Sisu: Road to Revenge (2025) Cody Leach This is a bigger, faster, and more entertaining sequel in every way. The balance of blood-soaked grittiness with absurdly over-the-top action will bring a sick grin to any fan of revenge movies.

4.25/5
The Plague (2025) Cody Leach The Plague brilliantly evokes the anxiety of bullying by painting broad strokes of darkness over an everyday coming of age tale. The story never elevates past the drama of pre-teen boys yet gives more tension than most full-blown horror films.

Primate (2025) Cody Leach It's amazing how far a simple concept can go when you fully deliver on the entertainment. A rabid chimpanzee attacking dumb teenagers delivers pure crowd pleasure with a solid sense of humor and relentless practical carnage candy!

3.75/5
Shelby Oaks (2023) Cody Leach Shelby Oaks is a clever blend of influences and filmmaking styles. Stuckmann cements himself as a voice to look out for with a very solid debut.

3.25/5
Appofeniacs (2025) Cody Leach Appofeniacs takes a genuine concern of modern technology and amplifies it to horrifying results. I wish the segregated storylines had more of an impactful through line by the end, but the insanity and carnage made for some sick entertainment.

3/5
Dolly (2025) Cody Leach Dolly will inevitably be the new flavor-of-the-month for slasher fans. It feels like the best ideas were left on the table for sequels but there is plenty of grit and grime to make this debut stand out. Ethan Suplee was an absolute standout!

3/5
Deathstalker (2025) Cody Leach Deathstalker feels like something I would have watched in the 90s...and I mean that as a compliment. The throwback nature of the set design and practical puppets bring a nostalgic edge and the blend of fantasy and horror is a lot of fun.

3/5
Bad Haircut (2025) Cody Leach This zany horror-comedy is the haircut from hell...in a good way. A villain with truckloads of personality goes a long way in a film that never shys away from absurdity.

1.5/5
Night Patrol (2025) Cody Leach A brilliant concept of corrupt LAPD officers being vampires is completely wasted in an incoherent dogpile of about 15 different films worth of ideas. Clever writing could have saved it but the intended message is as messy and heavy-handed as can be.

1.5/5
The Strangers: Chapter 2 (2025) Cody Leach This trilogy feels like it's trolling us at this point. A 90-minute chase sequence where nothing happens but a wildly out of place CGI boar fight and a hint of an answer to a question no-one was asking. Waste of Time: Chapter 2...

Crushed (2025) Cody Leach The subject matter as well as the storytelling decisions seem deliberately intended to elicit an angry and sickened response from the viewer. Congratulations on achieving that goal, I guess? This was a miserable watch with no insightful point to merit it.

3.25/5
Black Phone 2 (2025) Cody Leach Black Phone 2 is a sequel that I liked...but don't feel fully convinced that we needed. The Freddy Krueger angle is a fun direction and the acting is great across the board. Much of the lore and mystery elements fell flat as a justification to come back.

3.75/5
Silent Night, Deadly Night (2025) Cody Leach This re-imagining of the infamous Santa slasher is what a remake should be: a clever twist on the original story while preserving the spirit of the original. Rohan Campbell and Ruby Modine are great together and the laughs are as big as the bodycount.

3.5/5
Crumb Catcher (2023) Cody Leach Crumb Catcher is a quirky blend of offbeat dark comedy and home-invasion thriller. The premise is so ridiculous that it only amplifies the film's darker edge. The ending didn't quite stick the landing but it's a very unique watch that I recommend.

4.5/5
The Long Walk (2025) Cody Leach The Long Walk is a gut-wrenching blend of the brutal edge of King's horror stories with the uplifting and emotional weight of his more dramatic works. A powerful film about brotherhood, lifting up our fellow man & pushing through all of life's obstacles.

3.75/5
Friday the 13th (2009) Cody Leach At the end of the day, this is a Friday the 13th film...but it's a good one! Jason is more ferocious than ever and the kills are satisfying carnage. It says a lot though when you recycle the plot of the first 4 F13 movies and STILL feel light on story.

1.75/5
I Know What You Did Last Summer (2025) Cody Leach It wouldn't have taken much to be the best film in this franchise but this legacy sequel falls FAR short of that. Gen Z rehashes of the original cast go out in uninspired kill scenes while our legacy characters deliver exposition & anger-inducing twists.

1/5
Happy Gilmore 2 (2025) Cody Leach Yet another sequel to a comedy classic that fails to recapture any of what worked before. Every joke from the original gets rehashed, every artist and athlete alive gets a cameo, and every character you love is either dead, drunk, or depressed.

4.25/5
Superman (2025) Cody Leach Superman refreshes the character and the universe in a way that is fun, hopeful and FULL-BLOWN comic-booky. The entire cast is great but especially Corenswet's Superman has the full potential to lead a new era of DC movies to success. I'm bought in!

2.5/5
Jurassic World Rebirth (2025) Cody Leach Jurassic World Rebirth is anything but. There is a standout action sequence that is a franchise best and some very well done CGI. Unfortunately, while they try to go back to basics, they bring along the frustratingly poor writing of the recent films.

3.25/5
28 Years Later (2025) Cody Leach 28 Years is well-made, well acted, and is certainly intriguing for its unusual swings. That said, the story being told is quite derivative of recent "zombie" media. Some creative choices are so bizarre that they might turn you off completely.

3.5/5
Bring Her Back (2025) Cody Leach Bring Her Back continues to establish the Philippou Brothers as some of the more exciting new voices in horror. The relentlessly bleak film doesn't completely come together in the end, but the grisly filmmaking on display is top notch.

3.75/5
Final Destination Bloodlines (2025) Cody Leach Bloodlines doesn't necessarily reinvent Final Destination but it does bring some welcome twists to the template as well as some strong additions to the franchise's signature death scenes. I laughed, squirmed, and enjoyed being back in Death's warpath.

A Working Man (2025) Cody Leach Im easy to please with mid-budget action thrillers, especially the ones led by Statham. This one just felt as generic and derivative as it gets. The action isn't entertaining enough to make up for its Taken ripoff plot, weak villains, and dragged pacing.

3.5/5
Hell of a Summer (2023) Cody Leach Hell of a Summer has plenty of laughs with its Gen Z coming-of-age take on the classic camp slasher. The characters are fun and the dialogue is consistently witty throughout. The actual slashing is where the movie has its major shortcomings.

3/5
A Minecraft Movie (2025) Cody Leach A Minecraft Movie is clearly crafted to solely appeal to kids and superfans of the game. There is plenty of goofy charm and silly gags to keep you entertained despite a thin story with a mostly wasted cast. I just wish we aimed higher with kids movies.

3/5
Screamboat (2025) Cody Leach Screamboat is a silly schlockfest that intentionally aims very low. With that in mind, it hits and sometimes exceeds its target. The inherent goofiness of a killer mouse dispatching full-sized humans in gory ways is thoroughly entertaining for what it is.

Summer of 69 (2025) Cody Leach Summer of 69 manages to pull a lot of heart and charm out of an inherently raunchy setup. It focuses on universal teenage struggles like self-confidence and being true to yourself which makes it incredibly relatable and endears you to it's characters.

Drop (2025) Cody Leach Drop has some nice thrills, two likable leads, and a nice injection of visual style from Chris Landon. The plot asks for a bit too much suspension of disbelief but it still makes for a fun ride if you're along for it.

3.75/5
Clown in a Cornfield (2025) Cody Leach Clown in a Cornfield is frustratingly by-the-numbers...until it very much isn't! Fun characters, satisfying carnage, and some nice surprises makes for a very entertaining clown slasher. I'm interested to see more from Friendo!

It Ends (2025) Cody Leach It's rare that I see a film that is so steeped in subtext and metaphoric storytelling that comes to such a satisfying conclusion. Great central performances ground it while the concept moves from eery and terrifying to mundanely relatable in the best way.

Together (2025) Cody Leach Together is an exploration of co-dependency through the nastiest and funniest of extremes. Dave Franco and Alison Brie are terrific together and the places they have to go are sure to stick in your mind all year long.

The Rivals of Amziah King (2025) Cody Leach Rivals of Amziah King is truly something special that comes around once per generation. A story that you can never predict, characters that you love to be around, and celebration of lifestyles that makes you truly love life. I loved it!

1.5/5
The Woman in the Yard (2025) Cody Leach Woman in the Yard aims to have a bleak and uncomfortable exploration of the worst depths of grief and depression. Perhaps it aimed too well because the end result is so miserably dark and hopeless that it's arguably irresponsible with its final stretch.

3/5
Death of a Unicorn (2025) Cody Leach Death of a Unicorn is a fun premise with a fantastic cast that can't quite sustain its magic. Some jokes hit well while many more fell flat and the unicorn carnage is a bit too cartoonish. It's a fun watch but not one that will merit repeat viewings.

4.25/5
The Accountant 2 (2025) Cody Leach The Accountant 2 ramps up the buddy action comedy dynamic between Affleck and Bernthal to great results! I wish there was a bit more action and the twisty plot doesn't fully come together but the laughs and thrills more than carry the weight.

1/5
Kinda Pregnant (2025) Cody Leach Kinda Pregnant is an example of the worst that modern comedy has to offer: an unlikable lead, raunch that focuses more on gross-outs than humor, and a forced dramatic angle that fails to be meaningful or touching in any way.

4.5/5
Companion (2025) Cody Leach Companion is a brilliant horror comedy that keeps you guessing as much as it keeps you laughing. Sophie Thatcher and Jack Quaid are incredible together.

3.5/5
Heart Eyes (2025) Cody Leach Heart Eyes is a clever blend of screwball romance and gory slasher that mostly works well as a tonal mix. The kills are creative and gory and the two leads are effective at the romance. The humor is just, unfortunately, way overdone.

2/5
Wolf Man (2025) Cody Leach Wolf Man takes some bold swings but ultimately fails to pay any of it off in a satisfying way. The story and characters are very thin and its attempts to explore its themes fizzle out after the 1st act. Unique...but unfortunately very empty.

4.75/5
Nosferatu (2024) Cody Leach Eggers brings us one of the best executed and certainly the best looking iteration of the classic Dracula tale that we've ever seen. Depp is an emotional powerhouse while Skarsgard disappears so far into Orlok that he's unrecognizable!

Red One (2024) Cody Leach Red One represents a slew of issues with modern Hollywood blockbusters but still manages to be fun and creative enough to elicit some holiday cheer.

3.5/5
Daddy's Head (2024) Cody Leach Daddy's Head is like The Babadook for step-parents. I enjoyed the look at the anxiety and uncertainty at play with someone stepping into a role of a parent. The creature design and scares were effectively creepy.
