Nick O @nottergode 1d Often called one of the most overrated films of all time. Is it? All I am say is I watched it and it was very well made and well acted film. Granted to this day I never saw Brokeback Mountain. Is it better than that? I don’t know. Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t. But bashing this film won’t help. Films are subjective after all. I’m one of the few that felt Silence of the Lambs and No Country for Old Men were overrated. And those are often praised. But love American Beauty and The Shape of Water which are often called overrated. So just my two cents. But Crash? Great film that doesn’t deserve the hate it gets. Just watched it with my niece (first watched it 20 years ago!) and she loved it too. Great cast and early roles for these legendary group of actors. Plot is very clever and excels in the art of storytelling. Sound track great as well. Lots of takeaways and one of those films that you keep thinking about afterwards. Life doesn't serve us dishes of palatable moral conclusions, so why should art? 'Crash' is very watchable and engaging as it reveals with nuance and subtlety how lives enmesh, and with what incalcitrance life discloses and inserts its "meanings", if only we keep a receptive aerial aloft. J’ai apprécié le concept de suivre plusieurs histoires en parallèle, avec des personnages qui se croisent parfois sans se connaître. Cette approche rend le film original et plutôt captivant. Certaines scènes sont particulièrement chargées en émotions et marquent l’esprit. Mais pour moi, il manque quelque chose. L’absence d’un véritable but et d’une conclusion nette donne l’impression d’un récit qui ne mène nulle part. Une fois la télé éteinte, il reste juste des morceaux de vie qui s’achèvent sans véritable résolution. Ce manque d’aboutissement laisse un sentiment d’incomplétude.
