Lasse Hallström once again provides theater-goers with some food for thought in A Dog's Purpose. Of course, the food tastes better out of the trash and bacon from under the table is just the best.

An alright film that definitely pulls at your heart. It is quite sad a points and kind of props up this reincarnation of dogs concept. I find the human characters a little boring and forgettable at points but the dog (Bailey) is a nice representation of what everyone imagines a dog thinks like. In general the film ends well and is pretty good but is a little boring.

Dude, this movie has been on my watchlist since forever after reading the book and ultimately breaking down in tears as I finished it. I feel like the movie itself isn't one of the greatest but if you look past all of that and really have a feel for not just bailey, Ellie, or buddy but their concessions mixed with the emotions of Ethan, Carlos, and Maya. You too will break down and tears as I did for not just the end of the movie but at every point of the freytag pyramid (Exposition, Rising action, Climax, Falling action, Resolution.) Readers note: If you haven't watched this movie and enjoy reading I recommend reading the book first, it really grasps every detail that the movie didn't, while telling the exact same story.
