Max Vatan (Brad Pitt) and Marianne Beauséjour (Marion Cotillard) are World War II operatives who never reveal their true identities. Like an average cover version of a classic song, Zemeckis drama makes all the right noises for a 40s war-time thriller, but it doesnt have any of the heart

boringly predictable, and not very clever. and the basic plot is bad OPSEC that makes this excruciating in the third act. This is no Le Carre. Pitt and Cotillard ofc are fine and glamorous, but I expected more from this and didn't get it. Maybe that's the final twist.

Definitely worth the watch. Brad Pitt was very good as usual. I liked the story and I'm all in on anything WWII related. Makes you wonder how much stuff like this was really going on at the time. Good film, not great.

this movie was awesome. makes me wonder who my grand parents on my father´s side were. I know very little of them, since he grew up with his grand parents in rural denmark... born in 45, son to a german oberst, and danish mother who both fled to germany after the war interesting to see a movie with Pitt, without any of his boyish charm. stoic, concerned this was definitely worth the two hours spent

I am always a big fan of historical ficiton so I was really excited to give this movie a watch. It was pretty good, but it felt like there was something missing. It just kind of fell a bit flat for me. I really wanted to enjoy it, but I just didn't end up liking it as much as I would have hoped.

It's not terrible or bad. It's just bland... The trailer for this movie got me so hooked; too bad the movie itself couldn't do the same. So frustrating, because the premise had so much potential for a truly Impactful story. It lacks enough memorable moments to build the two main characters' relationship. It lacks the clever intricacy that other spy movies have. And it also lacks heart. The movie doesn't do anything to deserve its ending either. It's as if it was written by a melodramatic teenager, who felt like it needed to make an emotional impact, but didn't thought about it logically. Having said this, if you have nothing else to watch, give it a try. Perhaps you will like it.
