Dakota Johnson is aces as a late bloomer coming out in her 30s. The touchingly personal script by Lauren Pomerantz is funny as hell, but it’s her delicacy of feeling that sneaks up and floors you. Something special is going on here. Treasure it.

Boring, could have been amazing, but they didn't take the opportunity for it. Amazing topics, approaches, didn't want to make it deeper. Just boring. Anyway, at least Dakota looks beautiful as always. I've seen her co-star Sonoya in other projects, so I don't know how they could waste such talents.

Film che indaga la presa di coscienza della propria sessualità ad un'età più adulta dello standard e del genere. Proprio la costruzione delle emozioni e dei dialoghi che ruotano intorno alla sfera sessuale sono senza dubbio quelli riusciti meglio e più interessanti. Il resto del film è pesantemente influenzato dal carattere introverso e asociale della protagonista che però stride pesantemente con la clamorosa bellezza di Dakota Johnson che rende il suo personaggio poco credibile.

Am I OK? is warm, funny, and quietly heartfelt. Dakota Johnson brings so much charm and awkward honesty to Lucy that you can’t help but root for her. The friendship dynamics feel real, and the late-in-life self-discovery is handled with care and humor. I loved the journey and the vibe of the film — it just fumbled a bit at the ending.
