Phileas Fogg (Steve Coogan) is an inventor living in Victorian England. He believes he can travel around the world in 80 days. Another inventor (Jim Broadbent) challenges him to make the trip, and Phileas agrees. Accompanying Phileas on his journey are his loyal manservant, Passepartout (Jackie Chan), and Monique (Cécile de France), a beautiful navigator. Es una película cómica con Jackie Chan. Si bien no es su mejor película, no está del todo mal para pasar el rato. La temática retoma el clásico de Julio Verne añadiendo un toque de gracia. Es una película boba por lo que no se puede esperar mucho, pero sigue siendo Jackie Chan por lo que cuenta con momentos bastante divertidos y su singular estilo de combate y acrobacias que nos facinan a todos sus fans. Sin más que añadir, recomiendo la película para todo aquel que le guste Jackie Chan y sus increíbles aventuras. ¿Ya mencioné que sale Jackie Chan?

I don't get why this movie scores as low as it did (33%). I thought it was Great! Jackie Chan and Steve Coogan, as Passepartout and Phileas I felt really fit their roles well. Jackie Chan put a unique spin on the Passepartout character, and Steve Coogan I felt put a bit more of a comedic style on the Phileas Fogg Character.

**3.5 Stars – A Whimsical Spin Around the Globe** *Around the World in 80 Days* is the kind of goofy, globe-trotting ride you don’t realize you missed until you’re knee-deep in Jackie Chan doing physics-defying stunts while Steve Coogan spouts Victorian nonsense. This film is pure, silly joy—packed with absurd jokes, surprise cameos (seriously, *everyone* pops up), and a trio of leads whose chemistry somehow makes this chaos work. Coogan’s dry wit, Chan’s legendary moves, and Cécile de France’s charm make for an unexpectedly magnetic trio. I used to watch this with my grandma on loop, and I get why now—it's the cinematic equivalent of comfort food. Sure, it’s not high art, but it’s wildly underrated fun. Don’t overthink it. Just pack your imagination and enjoy the ride.
