Any movie dealing with or highlighting dogs sign me up. This centers around a dog show and we meet each dog and the owners. Eugene Levy is my favorite character and his look cracks me up. He along with fellow schitts creek star Catherine O'Hara are one of the many couples. Parker Posey is funny. The story is amazing and this 90 minute movie is an instant classic. Christopher Guest uses the mock documentary style to observe obsession, insecurity and small ambitions without making the characters feel completely cruel or empty. It took me a little while to connect with its humor, and not every joke worked for me at the same level, but once the film finds its rhythm, it becomes much more enjoyable. The cast chemistry, the natural dialogue and the calm absurdity of each situation give the movie a very specific charm. It did not make me laugh all the way through, but I still had a good time. It's strange, quirky, funny, kind of boring at times, and just completely original. A handful of the jokes made me laugh, but overall it just was an average film.
