Henry D @Henry_Domke 10 hrs ago Like so many Netflix-produced movies, this felt, looked, and sounded like a made-for-TV production, even though it was French and had the surface appeal of being set in France. The setting and actors gave it a little lift at first, but the movie quickly wore thin. It never felt cinematic, and it had the padded, overextended quality of a long television episode rather than a real feature film. We hung in for more than an hour, but finally gave up. I was worried it wouldn’t be as good as the series but if anything it seems like an extension of it and equally stands alone as a wonderful film. Camille Cottin’s performance in the last scene was just beautiful. Really joyful and easy film to watch. Acting first class all round. If you liked the series, you will definitely like the movie. It is a pretty wild comedy, so don't expect the characters to make rational studious decisions.
