Two high school students from opposite ends of the social spectrum fall for each other in this teen drama. Nicole Oakley (Kirsten Dunst), the troubled daughter of a wealthy congressman, attends a public school in the upscale community of Pacific Palisades. As an act of defiance, she makes a play for the attentions of Carlos Nuñez (Jay Hernandez), a straight-A student who takes a two-hour bus ride to attend Nicole's school. Her self-destructive tendencies threaten his ambitions.

Tries to be risky and controversial but doesn't work. Tries to be sexy but can't quite pull it off. Mostly because of the PG-13 rating. I think the writers wanted to be romantic, but this director didn't know that.

i loved the movie and i think every teenager who dream's of a crazy love story should see it. And even all the ones who just are having a hard time. I felt like by watching the movie i was having some kind of therapy, i felt better with myself. The actors don't feel better humans than me, i feel just like them, and that's why i loved the movie and i think the director made an incredibel job and even the ones who made the castings chosed the perfect actors for every singel role

The movie’s all too familiar story is leveled up by the solid performances of its young leads, offering richer context and deeper meaning. Yet, it’s difficult to connect with the raging hormones of teen love when it seems somewhat trivial to an adult.

Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom

Phenomenal movie. Rotten Tomatoes rankings suck. This movie deals with so many complex issues so delicately and the two leads have such fantastic chemistry that I don't understand how anyone could not give it five stars. The writing is also incredible and lines are delivered without much pomp and circumstance, but with all the genuine and authentic tone of real life happening in front of our eyes. The simplicity is perhaps the best understated value of this film, which has been engraved in my heart for years. Bravo to everyone involved in this emotional rollercoaster of best tv viewing!
