People often throw around the term slow burn whenever a film has pacing issues. It is a signal that the audience needs to be patient in an age where people consume media in shorter and shorter formats, patience is a virtue in limited supply.

A great crime thriller based on the most enduring bond the human civilization ever known. This tale is an emotional thunderstorm powered by the performances of Sydney and Julianne. Excellent supporting cast. Visuals were scenic and carry a heavy intent on visualizing Kate's multi-frontal battle. No loss, betrayal or heartbreak diminishes Kate's love or focus on redeeming her child. With its surprising and satisfactory conclusion Echo Valley will remain as a memorable thriller with a heavy emotional side.

Great film , it demonstrated that unconditional love does have its conditions… & to never underestimate the wisdom of mother. Wanted more on why her daughter chose a life of addiction though…

I don’t know why the movie has poor reviews it must be because it’s disturbing and leaves a bad taste after watching. How far a mother’s love goes for her rotten daughter might seem implausible but I believe that there are some parents out there that would go as far or even beyond! A good thriller which leaves it mark after watching

Another tale of addiction that gets the family involved. This doesn’t really get interesting until it reaches the point where the viewer doesn’t know what direction is left for it to go, faux resolution an hour early kept it interesting for longer than than it had any business being. Was lacking better resolution with the daughter.
