Faiz S @RT19049740 May 26 The best part is when you realise that this movie is less about action and more about emotional escape. This film feels like silence after storm. Instead of another rise to power story it shows the psychological weight of survival. The cinematography quitely mirrors loneliness with empty roads and cold rooms. The movie avoids glorifying crime unlike many gangster stories. It's not the loudest ending, but probably the most loudest one. See more Aye E @RT43717499 May 18 This movie was a so-so revisit of BB following the ending where one might wonder about how Jessie would move on. It lead with the logistics of how he would do it, with violence, grit, and and bit of ingenuity. Which I guess was how the show portrayed things as well. But my mind went further down the road, what would his life be like when he was older, but guess that's not compelling entertainment. Although all of the actors were clearly older, which made it hard to feel like we were slipping back in time. Pinkman should've been pretty emaciated after the imprisonment, and he looked far too healthy, as did several others compared to how they looked on the original series. But there was never a sense of any real danger even in the most tense moments, he was clearly going to escape and all the tension of the show was gone when you knew that all of the key players were gone. This felt very much like a sidekick dealing with other sidekicks. See more Darren W. @DarrenTheCook64 May 17 El Camino is a good movie base of Breaking Bad. I liked the acting, climax, and the plot. I also very much like how they managed to get the original actors years later to make this movie. Though it is a little slow paced for me though, but overall I would recommend this after finishing all seasons of Breaking Bad. Felina was a perfect finale for Breaking Bad, but the question of what happened to Jesse Pinkman was one that lingered in the back of the minds all of those who watched the series. And not only does this movie answer that question, but it also gives us a compelling plot crafted by Vince Gilligan with plenty of dramatic and suspenseful moments. And the best part is that El Camino doesn’t take anything away from Breaking Bad or lessen the ending we were already given. It’s a fitting epilogue to a great story. It feels like a proper ending for Jesse Pinkman, giving his story the closure it deserved without losing the tense, gritty style that made Breaking Bad so memorable. What really works is how focused it is. The movie does not waste time, and every scene feels important. Aaron Paul is excellent, bringing so much emotion, pain, and desperation to Jesse’s journey. It is exciting, dramatic, and surprisingly emotional at the same time. Also, for some reason, it being from Sony Pictures Television makes it even funnier to think about, but the movie itself absolutely delivers. A strong, satisfying, and very worthy 9/10.
