The Even Stevens Movie could make you think of Gilligan's Island -- it's not great television, but fans should be pleased. Go to Full Review

... inflates the inexplicably popular TV series into a movie in which the whole obnoxious family thinks it's going on a prepaid holiday to a Pacific island... Go to Full Review

Nonsense is exactly what Even Stevens is good at, and the movie never forgets that... Go to Full Review

Cyrus K @Keyflame626 01/12/2023 A very annoying "comedy". See more 06/13/2021 A vey wild premise that only the Even Stevens crew can pull off filled with humor family tension that's both Important for character depth and comedic material. This movie manages to capture the Identity of the show and transition it to a very entertaining DCOM. See more 02/28/2021 The greatest movie based on a Disney Channel sitcom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! See more 10/03/2020 Decent watch at best, probably won't watch again, and can't recommend except for hardcore "Even Stevens" fans. I specifically binged "Evens Stevens" for this, and the show, even dated, is much better than the movie. This is clearly designed to be an extended episode of the show, but dramatically fails in the pacing that the show was so good at. While I'm a big fan of Christy Carlson Romano, Shia LaBeouf is only a little less crazy than his adult self, and it is the introduction of Tim Meadows that is the big difference in the plot. A mix of "Stuck on an island", "Secret Reality Show", and "Disfunctional Family" tropes, it really is just a lot of "let's mess with this family" for most of the movie. They stray away from the traditional use of family values to exploit the infighting to a point where they act like they're thinking about eating one another. It's fun, but I can't imagine anyone who doesn't have history with this family are going to enjoy the movie. See more jon c 01/24/2020 The hit family TV show get their first full length feature Not the best DCOM but pretty nifty for a straight to TV flick All the cast members from Shia Labeouf to Christy Romano are here Rens graduated high school, Louis is still up to his old tricks again, Donnie is headed for college and the father is in between jobs What will they do for summer vacation until then? Other than go at each other's throats a tv host comes in and invites them to a tropical paradise for free The big twist; the family is all secretly being filmed on a prank tv program but since they don't know it at several instances they turn on one another to the point of insanity I was never a huge fan of the show when it aired but this movie actually did give me some charm These actors are really into the material even if it is dumb in certain spots The exotic locations are a nice distraction, the family dynamics are pretty relatable, and I did giggle at minor moments because of how over the top the setup is Even Christy Carlson Romano's Ren gets a big central focus with her love life in shambles when she falls for a local native But of course this just proves not even a silly TV show can break the bond of family members, siblings love messing with each other but not to the point of intentional harm, and maybe a vacation is just what we all need to sort out the real issues we have back home It's dumb, goofy, kinda hilarious but I think hardcore fans of the show will enjoy it so much better than most I didn't have a terrible time watching it maybe it's because it was a nice breakaway from what the show lacked a lot of A good change of scenery isn't always a bad thing even for a DCOM like this one See more Read all reviews
