May be [John Hughes'] best film to date. Funny, poignant and rebellious, "Ferris Bueller" is the most cinematically controlled of Hughes' directorial efforts. It speaks to all ages.

If you want to take a trip back to the 1980's this is one of the film to watch. Times have changed drastically so that is why I gave it a 4 star instead of a 5. Very crazy ( and very illegal). But there were scenes where i did laugh out loud. Definitely a much freer, uninhibited Time.

I grew up with this movie - it was thematic for life back then. And it holds its own today, a classic! I've got news for Hollywood executives - people still like going to the movies but we're sick of the formulaic BS and franchise regurgitations. A movie like this is what it's all about - great characters, great writing, and very entertaining. Those elements make a movie timeless. I could watch this movie once a year for the rest of my life and enjoy it.
