The young female lead's makeup must have been inspired by the the Rocky Horror Picture Show. If you can endure even half of this, you're a better man than me, Gunga Din. I do remember going to school in Massachusetts and learning about all of the raging WWII stories that took place there. Or not. A terrible movie, script, cast, acting. The two leads, Gene and Penny have zero on-screen chemistry together. Cusack and Sorvino surely knew what a stinker this was, but a paycheck is a paycheck.
