Forgetting Sarah Marshall feels even funnier when watching it after comedies like The 40-Year-Old Virgin and other films from that era. It carries the same blend of awkward humor and heartfelt moments, but presents them in a more relaxed and surprisingly emotional way. The comedy works because the characters feel believable despite all the ridiculous situations. Instead of relying only on random jokes, the film builds humor naturally through uncomfortable interactions and strong chemistry between the cast members. It also benefits from a memorable tropical setting that gives the film a laid-back atmosphere while still allowing for plenty of hilarious moments. The balance between romance and comedy is handled well, making the story more engaging than a typical romantic comedy. Overall, it’s one of the standout comedies of the late 2000s with strong performances, clever humor, and a lot of rewatch value. I rate it an 8/10.

One of the funniest comedy movies I've seen. The title made me think it would be a typically average romantic comedy with few laughs, but i was wrong. When you see the lead character's knob within 5 minutes, you know it's gonna be a banger. Laugh out loud funny.
