At the end of the day, this is a Friday the 13th film...but it's a good one! Jason is more ferocious than ever and the kills are satisfying carnage. It says a lot though when you recycle the plot of the first 4 F13 movies and STILL feel light on story.

SHOOT THE BOOT I absolutely love this movie. It's a mix of the first four original movies and feels like the perfect representation of the franchise. In my opinion, it's the best one. Trent is one of those characters I literally hate every time I watch this. He's on the same level as Joffrey from Game of Thrones. The blood and violence are finally here, which was extremely lacking throughout the franchise. The production is awesome, dark, and modern, and the camp feels like a real abandoned place. Watching this in 4K looks immaculate. The HDR in the woods is crisp. Jason feels gritty and soulless. Is this a movie we've seen 10 times before? Absolutely. But I genuinely think this is the best version of it. The pacing is a little off, with a great first act followed by parts that move too quickly. The ending is also abrupt, but that's Friday the 13th fashion. It's not an Oscar movie, but it's a great time and one I watch at least once a year around Halloween.

Best movie easily in the Friday the 13th franchise! Whole movie is enjoyable, and only one where kills are somewhat visible lols, good movie worth a watch if you like Jason
