Melissa M @Lisey May 20 Like in most movies that Joan cusack is unrecognizable, but is an amazing actress. This movie is an accurate portrayal not only of married life. But of the single life as well. The conversation the friends have behind each other's backs it's pretty much how people talk in real life. Jane is either going through a midlife crisis or early menopause. Or something even more serious than that. Olivia sometimes gets very defensive when people talk about her being a maid. She's a single girl just struggling to get by. Who takes free samples every chance she gets. Franny means well but she gets too involved in other people's lives. Always trying to fix things & people. Christine like her house her life is grandiose. But not Grand. The men in their lives are just as complicated & complex. This movie is not a full-on chick flick. But it's pretty close. It's a movie that some men might relate to as well. Depending on the man.
