Mitch S @SwagoDiego2k 2d I think this has been said a lot, but it's true. Godzilla is the name of the movie and that big ole sun of a gun barely appears in the movie. But you have an outstanding performance by Brian Cranston who absolutely tanks the first part of the movie. He hoisted it up on his back and did a lot of the work sadly though, he dies pretty early. And we get left with the son Ford, AKA Aaron Taylor Johnson. Now I did like him enough and as an actor in general I enjoy him. But his character did just kinda stumble into plot occurrence after plot occurrence. And that's sort of how the plot works, Ford just goes to A to B and the end goal is always different yet playing to the singular goal of getting to his wife. Some questionable and not very smart choices are made by a few characters but overall the action and kaiju scenes were really cool. Well put together. Sad the main man took a bat seat kind of but still a good film. I recommend it! It's funny this movies doesn't really deliver in quality movie but still are entertaining. Godzilla isn't though. It started bad to be honest! Even the monster fights weren't really that cool! They did monster experience JUSTICE the feeling of size where they all can't fit in one screen, the weight whenever they move or make impact, the breathtaking lighting and pacing. But indeed, Godzilla should appears more but not too much. Other than that, the writing is just that good, been a big fan for 12 years now thanks to this movie. It gives such a milestone back then causes by the feeling of realism with cinema's atmosphere. Wish to see this way of presenting monsters again. Or if appears more, do it right. Godzilla happens to appear in this movie on occasion, a celebrity cameo in a movie which is otherwise most comparable to G.I. Joe.
