A gleeful, good-natured comedy that leans into every goofy joke as far as it can. Go to Full Review

The trouble with so many ideas jostling in the film, written by Das and Amogh Ranadive, is that very little gets to breathe. Just as something is about to settle in, off it darts in another direction. Go to Full Review

Aspiring to be a clever satire, ‘Happy Patel’ turns out to be more frustrating than fun. Go to Full Review

This is almost a good film. I laud the naked ambition to be a Naked Gun, and hope there is more where this came from. Go to Full Review

Ultimately, Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos brims with ideas but lacks the discipline to shape them into a coherent whole. Go to Full Review

The jokes aren’t laugh-out-loud-funny because there is a constant undercurrent of self-awareness that either slices the joke in half or lets it go on for a little too long for it to land in the traditional sense. Go to Full Review

Yash B @yashbansal 1d I am a huge fan of Vir Das when it comes to his stand-up comedy. When I found out he was writing and directing a film that Aamir Khan was producing, it immediately grabbed my attention. "Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos" is very goofy by nature and even funny at times, but the end result is disappointing. For a movie on this type of wavelength, it needed to make me laugh a lot more than it did. I did think there were some good bits, and even the story was fun when it first started out. I think there was a point roughly halfway where I just became a bit jaded by the experience, and the finale did not hit for me at all. Writing comedy is an immense challenge, and I have liked silly movies like this before. Overall, there are better spy spoof movies readily available, and while this one has its moments, it fails to really stand out, which is a shame because a lot of talented people I truly admire were involved. See more Vishnu V @RT05000137 3d It's pretty bad and unfunny; I struggled to finish the movie. I expected a lot more from Vir Das and Aamir Khan! See more Wizard I @RT92135862 5d Funny. Better than most comedies that have come out in a while. It was totally nonsensical but still managed to stay amusing See more bhavi s @Thumbs Feb 2 Funny situations with incorrect pronounced Hindi words.
