See more 03/18/2020 I expected a mindless, silly background while I worked on a project but this one surprised me. Not only is the set gorgeous, but there's a super fun hook that those with a keen eye and knowledge of criminal history will catch very early on. I thought it was a rather fun film with some legitimate scares and I was delighted to see 2 actors I love. I'm no professional film critic, but I rather enjoyed this much to my surprise. Tries to be atmospheric but itï¿ 1/2 1/2(TM)s just tired and dull. And the anemic plot is served perfectly by the kid acquiescing to become old lady Mudgett #2. As stated previously - preposterous!
