Walker (Tom Hardy) is a bruised detective fighting his way through the criminal underworld threatening to engulf his entire city. In the aftermath of a drug deal gone wrong, Walker finds himself with a number of factions on his tail; a vengeful crime syndicate, a crooked politician, as well as his fellow cops. When attempting to rescue the politician's estranged son, whose involvement in the drug deal starts to unravel a deep web of corruption and conspiracy, he is forced to confront the demons of his past.

Gareth Evan’s just really wants to punch things, shoot at others, and blow things up. It is as if Evan’s is pitching himself to Rockstar should they ever want a Grand Theft Auto movie.

A relentless opera of carnage that’s simultaneously cathartic in its adrenaline-fueled bloody violence that grows cartoonishly over-the-top, and artful in its poetry of slow-motion and precise, balletic movements that are plucked straight out of John Woo.

What in the world did Tom Hardy see in this?? A lot of reviews were correct. - endless ammo - buckets of blood pouring out on screen - martial arts just because there’s Asians - butcher knives and machetes because guns aren’t good enough - never ending waves of bad guys (video game esq) There’s this weird things going on in this film where people will grab weapons and there’s this millisecond pause like it’s suppose to be badass or something. When you see it you’ll know what I’m saying, and it’s just weird for an ongoing fight scene.

It is a form of entertainment that starts off in a way that is fairly standard—even formulaic—for the genre, featuring a plot with all the familiar ingredients. However, in its eagerness to showcase its violence, it "forgot" about the story, the characters, and the audience, focusing instead solely on chaos and destruction.

Genuinely what was this? The car chase in the first few minutes is looking straight out of a video game or like AI. The whole movie consists out of endless shooting scenes, in which the characters never need to reload their guns. Tom Hardy has like 100+ bullets in his pistol and of course in the same time he has dodged 1000+ bullets. It's ridicuolus. Thank you Netflix for ruining movies once again.
