The chemistry between Rodriguez and Wood is undeniable, and Rodriguez's more naturalistic performance balances out her costar's affected shuffling and deep, gravely monotone.

Had internal humor to those that know what it is like to have toxic parents that show no compassion or love. Character of Mellony (Gina Rodriguez) was a welcomed pace to the film and brought hope to a dismal movie.
