Not a repeat watch, though. Great acting, a good deep story especially when it's based on true events over at Noth Dekota when it comes to doing whatever it takes to live through a poverty-stricken town. Sure, some scenes do feel slow but those are just minor nitpicks for me. Yet the only thing important as it went was the sisters pushing through so that they are happy for one another even for their mother who'd recently died and for their child to live a well loved life. Plus, good to see Lance Reddick - bless his soul - to deliver some good scenes when Tessa Thompson comes around to see him. 9/10. Little Woods is her directing debut and while she clearly a filmmaker with much to say, this film felt flat to me. The performances by the two leads are excellent, the story is worthy of being told, but Little Woods and I never connected.
