Agent Sean Vetter (Vin Diesel) is a DEA operative fighting the drug wars along the US/Mexican border. After a major player from the Baja Cartel is imprisoned, a new mysterious figure known as Diablo wrests control over the entire operation. Films like A Man Apart pretend to deal with social issues. That is their cover story. But in fact, they themselves are the Hollywood equivalent of the coke trade. They corrupt the entertainment industry.

The script for this action vehicle is like something you'd find under the cushions of Steven Seagal's couch, but Diesel, to his credit, digs into his role as if it were Hamlet.

Filme mais ou menos, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são mais ou menos, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom

Not as bad as it's made out to be, imo. Nice action, good twists. Great cinematography. Nicely directed by Gray. Could be better written. Whole cast shines convincingly in character. Close to real life. Not too shabby, worth a watch

Poor sound. Conversations very low sound, and gunfights way too loud. In this movie you keep adjusting the sound.

Besides Vin Diesel channeling his embodiment to tonally likens Sylvester Stallone during this vigilante crime drama, the action pedestrians minimize any worthwhile engagement insignificantly offered whilst eventually indecisive. (C+)

While Vin Diesel is a perfect fit for the lead role, and his performance in this film stands out compared to his recent works, the movie suffers from erratic pacing and a severely fragmented narrative, making it challenging to deliver many surprises to the audience.
