Talent, controversy and accident have combined to make The Misfits an unusually interesting film if not an outstandingly good one. Go to Full Review

Gable has never done anything better on the screen, nor has Miss Monroe. Gable's acting is vibrant and lusty, hers true to the character as written by Miller. Go to Full Review

The film had potential, but in its efforts to unravel the complexities of the human condition of the era, it presents three men who are largely disagreeable, irresponsible, childish, irresolute, and angsty. Go to Full Review

With this film, signed with a script by Arthur Miller and weighed down by problems during filming, Huston creates a very dramatic portrait of lonely lives. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Like so many Hollywood films, this begins wonderfully and then the life slowly leaks out. Begins well because all is fresh, no mistakes have been made, brisk technique is in command; but when it has to grow up, it sogs. Go to Full Review

Lucia di L @RT11753300 2d I would have preferred an actress in the leading role, who was able to act. Ms. Monroe thinks, it's great acting having the mouth open all the time. She is just such a terrible actress. I don't like the story. About a rodeo. Catching horses. Not my cup of tea. Wallach steels the show. He is a great actor. See more Farah R. @Farah Feb 27 There’s little to admire about The Misfits besides what is arguably Marilyn Monroe's most raw and powerful performance of her career. She really sidestepped her blonde bombshell persona by showcasing she can command a more serious and emotional role. As for the film itself, it’s boring and depressing, offering no enjoyment or pleasure. See more Ros B @RT76285442 Jan 28 Some famous actors with Arthur Miller and John Huston behind the scenes and it pays off. Unfortunately a black and white film but the dialogue is clever and there is plenty of drama. I found the characters sympathetic and interesting except Roslyn played by Monroe, who was rather a wet blanket. Both of us were engaged throughout the film.
