H H @RT87279478 Nov 18 Looks like all you need to make money off of movies is some catchy music and a few popular actors doing their usual thing. Audience will simply follow. I tried to understand why this movie is a hit. No nuances, no respect for logic, no roots to realism... just overtly melodramatic dialogues delivered by two popular actors in their typical type cast roles. It is supposed to be a boarding school with just 1 and later 2 faculty. What and how does the school operate? Who teaches them? How can an employee (a hired teacher) just walk in and run the show while the supposedly powerful owner lets him? Just cannot relate it to anything that usually happens in human life. Then there are the complete non actors that fill in the gaps over a nearly 3 hour saga of events that director believes is dramatic and important to deploy. Other than the catchy songs, I just don't understand the entertainment value in this colossal event. I really, really liked it though. See more 06/11/2015 There is something about Bollywood movies that even though you know they are overly emotional you get caught up in them. Better have your box of tissues near you for this one :-) It's an awesome movie about love about a battle of wills between the old and the new generation about loss and so much more. The cinematography and sets are superb the song and dance numbers colourful fun and catchy plus on top of that this movie is full of top top Bollywood stars. Amitabh Bachchan the near god of Indian cinema, Shah Rukh Khan nick named King Khan and pretty much Amitabh's successor as near god the next generation and then an even newer upcoming generation with such young stars as Uday Chopra. From decades of erotic sexuality there is even an appearance by Helen who shows she can still dance up a storm as Miss Monica. A whose who of Bollywood in an epic Bollywood film What more could you want. Just make sure you have your box of tissues and a bowl full of popcorn :-) See more Read all reviews
