It's funny. It's as cute as Paul Godfrey's hair. It has some nice songs. And, to borrow the title from one of them, sometimes it keeps Movin' Right Along. Go to Full Review

The story is quite cleverly devised to take [the Muppets] through a gamut of miniature Hollywood movies - especially westerns. There is a great deal of cute and charming slapstick, an occasional spot of satire, and some excellent music. Go to Full Review

"The Muppet Movie" may be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, a real miracle. It's a G-rated film that neither talks down to children nor puts adults to sleep, and it offers humor, fantasy and warmth for everyone. Go to Full Review

"The Muppet Movie" is wholesome, witty, well-done and even - in its own way - engaging. That's a pretty impressive list for a film that is, more than anything else, just plain fun. Go to Full Review

It has all of the heart and whimsy of classic Hollywood, told through the lens of some of the most iconic and charming characters in pop culture history. The music by Paul Williams is enough to have you tapping your toes or welling up in tears. The humor is top-notch, and in a certain class only The Muppets themselves can achieve. Overall, if you haven't seen this movie, you are doing yourself the largest disservice imaginable. Fantastic movie, 10/10 See more John L 2d Enjoyed it as much as I did as a kid way back when. The 1979 film will always be the most magical and all the muppet films for this reason: it’s for the dreamers. The doers. It teaches you to go after what you want and cherish the people you meet on your journey. Don’t forget the power of belief and make-believe. Lead with your imagination and you’ll do wonders.
