An awesome heist movie with an all-star cast. It's insanely influential for literally every heist movie with gathering the crew and visualizing each step of how they're going to break in and pull off the elaborate heist. The movie has such a great ensemble cast. I love the funky jazzy soundtrack. George Clooney and Brad Pitt share great chemistry as best friends and partners in crime. The stylish cinematography and editing are top notch. We follow a lovable team of eleven, with distinct personalities for each character. The dated romance is the only weak link of the movie. I love all the cool and clever methods used to infiltrate the casino vault during the heist. The climactic heist is so much fun with so many great twists and turns. It was sweet of Danny Ocean to take the fall for the team so they could escape. I love the beautiful orchestral version of Claire De Lune. Steven Soderbergh simply directed the most fun heist film ever made with Ocean’s Eleven (2001). It’s a silly movie, but always entertaining. The coolest aspect is that the entire film is set-up for the heist that is carried out right before your eyes, so that every detail out in the open for you to enjoy. George Clooney leads this pack of eccentric criminals as the heist’s mastermind. His suave charm and effortless cool persona makes you like Clooney immediately. He was born to play Danny Ocean and that’s all that needs to be said. Brad Pitt is hilarious as the quick talking crook Rusty, who must always be eating on camera. It’s so fun to look for whatever Pitt is eating next. He’s charismatic and relatable for a larger than life criminal figure. I should mention Julia Roberts is lovely as the love interest Tess, Danny Ocean’s ex-wife. She’s stern and unforgiving as Tess with an alluring presence all the same. See more Read all reviews
